Want to charge for tickets? Connect your Stripe account to collect payments directly.
What is Stripe Connect?
Stripe Connect allows you to accept credit card payments directly to your bank account. Gatheroo never touches your money - it goes straight from your guests to you.

Step-by-Step Setup:
- 1Go to your Profile page
Click your profile icon → My Profile
- 2Find "Connect Stripe Account" card
Scroll down to the Account Settings section
- 3Click "Connect Stripe Account"
You'll be redirected to Stripe's secure setup
- 4Create or login to Stripe
If you don't have a Stripe account, create one (takes 2 minutes)
- 5Complete verification
Add your business/personal info and bank account
- 6Done! Start selling tickets
Go to Create Event and toggle "Sell Tickets"

Do I need a business to use Stripe?
No! You can use Stripe as an individual. Just provide your personal information and SSN during setup.
When do I get paid?
Stripe automatically pays out to your bank account. Standard timing is 2 business days after each sale, but you can customize this in your Stripe dashboard.
What if someone requests a refund?
You handle refunds through your Stripe dashboard. Since payments go directly to your account, you have full control over refund policies and processing.
Can I use Stripe in my country?
Stripe is available in 40+ countries. Check Stripe's supported countries list to see if yours is included.
Do I need to connect Stripe for free events?
No! You only need Stripe if you want to sell paid tickets. Free RSVPs and private events work perfectly without any payment setup.
Is my financial information secure?
Yes! Stripe is a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified payment processor (the highest security standard). Gatheroo never sees or stores your financial information - it's all handled securely by Stripe.
