What's the difference between private and public events?
Private events are invite-only (only people you invite can see them). Public events appear in our Browse Events section where anyone can discover and attend them.
If I have the Lifetime plan, do I still pay for large public events?
Lifetime members get events up to 50 guests free. For events with 51+ guests, you'll pay the tiered pricing ($100 for 51-100, $250 for 101-250, etc.).
Can I sell tickets to my events?
Yes! Connect your Stripe account (takes 5 minutes) and sell tickets. You pay Stripe's standard processing fees (2.9% + 34¢) and a small $1 per ticket fee to Gatheroo. For example, on a $5 ticket, the total fees are just $1 + (2.9% of $5 + 34¢) = $1 + 15¢ + 34¢ = $1.49.
Will prices go up later?
FREE plan stays free forever. Public event pricing may increase after launch, but early adopters who grab the $9.99 Lifetime deal lock in their benefits forever!
What if I need to cancel or refund an event?
You can cancel events anytime from your dashboard. Event fees are non-refundable, but if you sell tickets, you control your own refund policy.
